once again robbie has me confused, didn't we let go a perfectly decent defender who was also polish and that was to give mcghee his chance, then get shot of mcghee now got another one coming in so who is on their way out, and just to sum up the mood of the normall hearts fans out there, i spoke to two female fans on sat both said the same, i asked looking forward to the new season, both said exact same no their crap, sorry hearts you have made the fans feel that way, I've never felt going into a season that we were not going to do well like this one, and let's get something else on the table the 5 year plan, right were into the 3rd year, i presume anyone as a business person who comes out with 5 yr plans it means reaching the top of whatever they do, well most of us think well finish worse than last season which is going backwards and with the new stand taking up so much of the cash i can't see us spending next season either and we should have hibs back and they're spendng like they won the league, i'm sorry this is on the rumours page but it is linked, just so fed up as a hearts man right now, oh and one last rant please hearts when u pick a captain remember they have to do press duties, was so shocked at ozzie and his down beat manner he replied to questions at hampden it sums up how were feeling dour, miserable, maybe an english speaking captain would help, patterson would do or kitchen.

Does nothing for confidence, I can tell you. It's simply not good enough for Hearts, the quicker he is gone the better.

gornick,

I get the confusion around certain signings and the situation with players like McGhee and King. I too am baffled that Neilson has loaned out two players who would serve as great back up for the first team. But I also know that both players want to play week in, week out. Clearly Neilson thinks that they're not good enough to play every game yet. Not being a football manager myself I have to take it on faith that he's doing what he thinks is best for the club.

As far as 'the quicker he's gone the better' goes, with whom would you replace him? What coach is going to come to Hearts when the fans are as fickle as those of other clubs when it comes to the perception of success? We finished third in the SPL in our first season back. For me that's pretty much fantastic on the field of expectation! What also adds a little sweetness to it is that last season was also our coaches second season in charge of a club. The man is learning his trade and he's done pretty well all things considered! This season is the test of his character and the test of the fan's characters too. Will we be there to lift the heads of the players when they're losing, or will we walk away in disgust proclaiming our head coach is terrible simply because we have an over inflated sense of where our club should be? Myself I will be there in the stands until the very end, every game I can make.

The end of the season is the only time you can review players' or coaches' performance in my opinion.

Now rumours of transfers, anyone?

Neilson got third/ met target by boring the pants off most with his defensive tactics. The lack of entertainmentis not going to to the club any good in the long run, in regards to attendences.
Neither is binning young talent for journeyman foriegn players.
Employing an On the Job trainee as Head Coach is selling the fans short, especially one as out of his depth as Neilson is.

Football is not all about entertainment, it is a sport that people choose to watch it, yes we find it entertaining but if playing more of a defensive part in our tactics then that is what we will do to come higher in the league. Robbie is still young and has little experience, he isn't getting paid as much as an experienced manager, so that is always good. Although and experienced manager is sometimes better, they usually only go for the money then ask for more and we can't afford it so we get another one and that one is only there for a year and so on. Robbie can easily continue managing us for another 10-20 years and I think he will only get better as he earns more experience….

While I agree the signings aren't very exciting I will hold judgement until they have played some games and just because your forgein it doesn't make you a journeyman.

As much as I prefer to see youth players progress who has Robbie let go so far that has gone on to prove us wrong? Brad McKay, McHattie, holt (wait and see what he does this year) . Maybe some of these boys just ain't good enough the now? more good players brought in than bad also.

Neilson is not a big enough manager for hearts most of his formations last season were rubbish it was the team that got it right you deserve a bigger named manager.
