Hearts today sign left back Adam eckersley. Age 28 and a former product of Manchester United youth system Adam has played his football overseas for the last eight years mainly in Denmark. good competition form chattier which was needed and now we have cover in most places

Rod5782

1.) He's pretty terrible about as reliable as Titus bramble. So slow as well

2.) Another signing cause no one wants him

3.) If it was the best left back in the world he couldn't please you lot. he's signed for cover for mchattie as a squad player. ok then if your gona slag him without giving him a chance name a left back that would come to hearts and fit are budget, if u can't then stop slagging off every signing

4.) We certainly do need cover for our full backs. surprised McGhee hasn't seen red yet, loose cannon. and in terms of left backs i'd rather have the hobos ones over him. end of

5.) Your slagging an 18 year old lad who's made 20 odd appearances for hearts off, lol give the boy a chance to develop not even had one full season. your showing your football knowledge now lol Marc wotte the sfa performance director included McGee when naming Scotland's next promising youngsters. I'll go with him over you any day roaster hmfc

6.) Haha don't bite Rod its hibees posting mate, another goid signing, turned down Aberdeen and Dundee utd to sign.

7.) The Deluded now think they are experts on Danish football
Welcome Adam

8.) Rod the boy never said McGhee was bad or slagged him off he gets stuck in and puts in hard challenges and was lucky not to be sent or against the yams. He's got to control that

9.) He was also brought of against rangers because Robbie thought he was going to get sent off. Roaster

Prince buaben signs one year deal with us. Jambo thoughts on this, I believe myself that this is another good signing to the squad

Rod5782

1.) I think this is the worse signing we have made a medeocur player at best hence the reason no one else wants him.

2.) A decent addition.

3.) Delighted to have Buaben on board, Sow next?

4.) I don't believe a hearts supporter thinks prince b is a rubbish signing is this guy for real

5.) He has signed so he gets my support. Gives the young guys a chance to be introduced bit by bit rather than thrown into the deep end like last season, so that can only be a good thing.

6.) Why are we taking guys that no one wants apart from Alexander??

7.) There's your answer he's signed so he gets my vote Ffs so no one wants them so they sign for the hearts so there great get a skin grip thought we were chasing that 2nd spot

8.) Think some hearts fans need to be a bit more realistic and question there motives. what are they actually expecting to happen and who are they expecting to sign. everything the club does/sign is critised, its people like you that bring this club down not the players we sign

9.) To the so called hearts supporters who keep complaining about the signings, why don't they tell us who we should be signing

10.) How do you get that no one else wants them, all our signings could easily find another club, just because they chose hearts doesn't mean that was their only option, if you think that then clearly you are not a hearts fan!

11.) The prince and gomis look excellent to me. first class last night. and wow Mr mchattie

12.) Great signin defo stand out in th championship.

Thoughts on last night, not so much the game itself but the young lads getting run out. wasn't at the game but a lot of my mates that were weren't happy with the team selection giving the number of travelling supporters as usual. In my eyes for a club like hearts it's a cup that's definitely not a priority and these games should be used for younger players to get chance as they will be needed at some point this season. The league should be the sole focus this year and if the first team boys had picked up knocks you find yourself having to play these young lads anyway. think Robbie will take stick from a few negative fans but believe it's for the good of the club over the season

Rod5782

1.) If so, do Hearts still expect the punters to pay over and above their ST money to watch meaningless LC and SC ties?

2.) No they shouldnt

3.) So what you chatting about then?

4.) 28 Aug 2014 08:49:06
thats hearts fans choices tho, there's no obligation to go to these games. through history most teams try different/younger players in these games and you should no that. it has to be done to develop players or there not ready for when needed over season. these players tried to win game but fell well short I beleive

5.) Most clubs would have been more upfront about the tie being treated as an u20 game, before selling 3, 500 away tickets though.
The clubs acknowledged it was an error in judgement and subsequently got the balance right between frnge youth plaers and senior pros' in the Stenny game.
Time to move on and look forward instead to a near sell out game against the Bairns on saturday.

6.) Yes I agree with you interms of hearts being more up front with fans, Robbie did say there would be a lot of changes possibly not before tickets were sold tho. absolutely done the job against stenny in the league cup in which is seen as a major trophy tho. yeh total agree lessons we're learnt and time to move on

Great to see hearts so called "poor signings" prove the minority hearts fans wrong today. brilliant result and display from the lads and Robbie. Support your team

Rod5782

1.) Yeah exactly, where are the negative comments today, if hearts hadn't won there would've been negative comments slating the team and neilson. where are you now we won and out played rangers, why are you not giving praise when they truly deserve it. but like you said a brilliant performance at times and great desire to get the winning goal after conceding s late on.

Craigd

2.) Yeah I completely agree guys, apart from a few scary defending moments, a good result for a first game of the season with players missing.

Good thing is, that was supposed to be the leagues mightiest force we played, it only gets easier from here on in for us. Let's hope the confidence the team gained from this can manufacture a good run of form and keep us up the pointy end of the league, starting of course with a good result against the wee team!

3.) Can, t fault the boys, they showed they in it for he fight, rangers won, t win the league, not with a load of pensioners like they, ve got, HHGH

4.) Can't see Sevco improving to much with what they have currently got where as this Hearts team can only get better
Gutsy performance and encouraging signs

5.) To be honest you're all have tunnel vision, yes we won well done but the performance was poor the game was all rangers. And sows touch is poor but great finish. Can't get over excited by the performance.

6.) Hahaha hobbit above alert, Sow is potentially the best signing since Rudi!!Solid performance and the teams confidence grows game by game.

7.) Imagine Sow & Rudi playing upfront together, wouldn't be an empty seat at Tynie.

8.) Defiant hobbit like, can smell him a mile away. and how exactly was sows touch poor because he points to were he wants and take it out feet for match winning shot. lol. boys right sows going to be big signing for us and hopefully a constant goal scorer which we need

9.) Totally agree rudi and big sow would defo score a barrow load of goals don't know why we can't have rudi the guys a legend.

10.) Never said he goal wasn't good. But his touch in general play is laboured.

11.) Yup, and our tunnel vision sees a far brighter light due to the "poor performance" producing a win against the toughest opposition in the league.

But of course as a "fan" you're (proper use of you're, unlike your use of it) right we should all be crying in our beer over the poor win over The Rangers. The shame of it, how will we go on now, if only we had won better! Funny how your green side of the town are shouting to the rooftops about winning by virtue of a lucky keeper punt bouncing in the back of the net of the mighty Livingston.

12.) Touch is laboured?I make that 5 goals in 5 games buddy!!!HMFC the team for me!

13.) Agree with him he isn't the finished article and only one game into season

14.) 14 Aug 2014 02:09:24
Sows going to bang in the goals for the jumbos and send the hobos down again

15.) IMHO, I think Sow suffered abit, at Ibrox. through not having a decent enough No10 to link play with, not that I think Carrick is a bad player. El Hass' is maybe the answer, when he is fit, but again I can't see him scoring as many as Rudi could in the lower league.
Not compliaining more than happy that we beat that mob.

16.) Has anyone actually ever seen el hass play?

31 Jul 2014 18:27:06
Been very impressed with big sow so far watched him in trial games and again at Annan on sat and he looks like he could be a big player for us. Needing someone who is a natural scorer which we've struggled with last few seasons. hope he proves all the pessimist jambo who are on here wrong

Rod5782

1.) Can't judge a player on preseason against terrible teams, would be surprised if he got more than 10 goals. Clumsy player

2.) Clumsy? The boy is class with the ball at his feet!!

3.) 05 Aug 2014 13:32:26
That's the pessimist am on about. bring this club down. support your team support your players. not saying you can judge fully on pre season games but certainly take encouragement. sow will be a goal scorer and take us back up

4.) The dude has a point Rodders.
It won't be until around November/December time before we will have a good idea of how good or bad this team is going to be. No point getting to up or down about our prospects for the season, in the meantime.
BTW that is from one who has done is duty to God and Gorgie by renewing his ST and will support the team regardless.

Why not? Look at the standard of the spl. It's not the big jump from the championship to the premiership in England it's the mediocre spl. how can you not be happy with what we have achieved so far with the players we've signed. get a grip and get behind the team you support instead of bringing negativity to the club you love. you must be a manager yourself with your knowledge of needing 5 boys, I'll look out for you on football manager lol

U guys will not be happy till we've signed the world 11. Robbie and Craig are doing all they can together hearts back to were they belong and it's working. all of there signings so far have proven that they are what hearts need and the new boy big man has scored 2 in one game and your all slagging him off. take a look at yourselfs, you sit behind a computer and critique when were top of the league. This team would easily compete at the top end of the spl wait and see
